I think I've started a collection - without meaning to.
On our last trip to the Philippines, I showed you an artwork that we bought back home here.
And just recently on our trip to San Francisco, I bought this fairly common, run-of -the -mill souvenir artwork that I just have to have and really love...
Nothing says San Francisco like the Golden gate Bridge |
And of course those lovely Victorian houses |
Another view (and take) on the Golden gate |
Watered-down watercolor picture |
What's San Francisco without its famous cable cars too! |
And did I mention they were very fairly under-priced too? These cost me about less than $3 a piece - not bad for Art right?!
I think I may have a spot for these, will keep you posted once I get them up.
Have a wonderful weekend!
$3?? Nice! How big are they? I have a couple of city artwork too -- but of Seattle. :) They were small though. What I did was I scanned them and printed them on photo paper to the size I wanted.
ReplyDeleteThey're 11 x 14 each, very big. I got the post card versions too. I hung up 2 already, will post it here soon. :-)
DeleteI am always amazed at your bargain-hunting skills! Paired with your great eye for design is one fabulous combination!

I love the idea of travel art, it's so meaningful! We actually just visited San Fran as well! I didn't have time for much shopping, although I really wanted some prints exactly like yours - they're lovely :) I'm hoping I can just blow up some of my pictures, although I didn't get any good shots of the bridge because it was so foggy! Can't wait to see where you hang yours :)
