I came up with this idea since I realized I've got a lot of souvenirs and tickets everywhere in my bedroom and I had to organize them soon or 'drown' in what will end up as 'trash'.
I'm sure you know what I mean, right?!
So I got this planner from Goodwill back in May for $2 and decided to make it a ticket diary!
Our Ticket Diary for 2013 |
Since then, it has held important invitations and tickets...
My son's First communion invite and ticket to his first play |
Made us reminisce special occassions like Mother'sday & first professional baseball game seen with my kids...
Mother's day memento spent with friends and our Baseball ticket |
Made me remember the music from their last Spring recital...
Program and their seat assignment labels |
Made me look back at out memorable trip in Atlanta..
Hotel keys and tickets |
I've even kept some receipts of my 'date' with my dad before he went back home!
And of course the fun cruise we had last summer...
It's nice to know when and where we were at certain dates since I would add the tickets on the actual dates the event happened
More tix |
I've also kept wedding invitations !
I know there are commerically available ticket stub holders out there like this one...
Ticket Stub Holder $14.99
However, I find the spaces alloted here is very limited...

But then again, I have added more than tickets in our 'Ticket Diary'. Maybe I should call it
EVENTS DIARY! :-)
EVENTS DIARY! :-)
How about you, how do you store small mementos like these?
By the way Kristin over at Just a girl and her little dog Blog just opened her super cool online store called K.R.T. HOME!

I think tickets are neat things to save and I like how you did this, Vel. I wish I had saved some. My son has every concert, ball game, etc. ticket he's ever attended and I think that's so cool. I think they also look good in a ball jar. I've seen that. Have a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to organize your memories! Wish I had thought of that!
ReplyDeleteOh Vel, how organized you are! I also like to save cards (all kinds), tickets and you name it, but I just keep them in a plastic bag, I know, is not pretty :( Some day, some day I got to do this. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI like this idea! I keep all of my concert tickets, and have been looking for something cool to do with them, too!

ReplyDeleteNice idea huh! It can be a scrap book...
ReplyDeleteLove your ticket diary! I keep all my keepsakes in those large cloth covered boxes that zip. Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
I am the same way! I love holding on to mementos like these. Thank you so much for the shout out :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea! So much better than throwing everything into an old shoebox... ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! My 11 year old daughter just loves this idea. She plans on using a notebook for this - she's inspired to do her own great project! Thanks, Catherine
ReplyDeleteYou are so organized, Vel. When time allows, I create scrapbooks though I haven't for a while now. It is so time consuming...Christine
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea. I wish I would've started this eons ago, but better late than never!
ReplyDeleteI keep everything! Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteMy girls have their stubs on cork boards - this is such a great idea !
ReplyDeleteSuper idea and what a keepsake. Thanks for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Vel! I also kept some of my stubs, tickets, paper napkins, receipts, etc. from places and events i've been. Before, i was planning of making a scrapbook to keep it organize together with some pictures to go with it, but none of it materialized. Unfortunately, i might have lost some of it already. But I hope it's not yet too late to make one. Thank you for this blog, it reminded me again to do a project like yours. Keep blogging my friend! =))
ReplyDeleteI wish I were a scrap book kind of gal. They are beautiful and such a nice way hold on to memories for yourself and your children. Bogging for me is a digital scrapbook of sorts, so at least I have that. -Caitlin
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I used to scrapbook, but now I just toss everything in a box (until I get around to scrapbooking again ... that's the theory, anyway).
