The memories are giving me a headache! :-) |
Too much orange right?! |
And here it is now after my Re-do...
A Headache no more! |
After adding the wallpaper and re-painting the other walls as you may have seen in my previous post, I put all my other stuff back in.
I got the Ceramic Trash bin from TJ Maxx for $10 on clearance. The white garden stool was from Wisteria.com when it was on super sale. I figured, my lady friends would need a place to set their bags while doing their thing, and since there was no cabinetry or counter space at all inside this room, I added this pretty perch.
The vanity has sentimental value to me. I got it years ago from HomeGoods, and my mom bought it for me. It now serves as the toiletry essentials Cabinet in this space.
The Powder room Essentials |
On this table, I placed basic stuff that I anticipate guests may need when they use this space. From Lotion to Cotton balls, ring holder (from a thrift store), wipes and Feminine Hygiene products (inside the cute metallic box underneath the wipes), I wanted an easy access to all things essential.
$6 beauty |
I got this drawing from Goodwill. I just liked the fact that it's an original artwork (I think) and I love the feel of the picture. This is a picture of Anne Hathaway cottage by the way.

Wow, kumpleto! Great job Vel! Love the wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteThanks you, thank you! It's my first try doing wall paper, and now, I think it won't be my last! :-)

ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa! Wasn't it a coincidence we did our Powder room make-over almost at the same time?! your powder room is super gorgeous! I love it as well. Thanks for stopping by! :-)
DeleteHi Vel,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and I'm glad you did since that brought me to yours. Your husband mentioned that you have a blog and actually I wanted to talk to you that night but I guess Pacquiao stole the night away haha... and also everyone was cussing na when he lost nga so we never had a chance to talk... well I attempted, remember? I really wanted to get the name of your blog nga that night but geez, thanks for coming over.
I perused your blog and wow you have a great taste and I was telling my husband nga na we could have "clicked" well. I love your summer oasis. The punches of yellow give a cheery ambience. LalalalLove it!
I'm so impressed that you are in touch with your artsy side besides your medical career :) Not everyone have that gift.
I hope we still get to see each other again sometime soon... but well for now, I'm content with the virtual meet ups haha.
xo,
Malou
Oo nga! sayang, anyhow, do you have FB? if so, will see you there too! I can't wait to try your recipes! Super yum talaga- just browsing made my stomach grumble! LOL! I will definitely try little by little since I'm no great cook, but hopefully with your blog, I can "try" to be one - at least for my family!
DeleteThank you for the compliments, I think decorating is more my niche, you see our house needs a a lot of work talaga (I'll tell you more about it later on), so I guess I was "forced" into fixing it up (check out my master bedroom re-do and see why)! Hehehe!
Anyhow, will keep in touch in cyber-space - For now! Ciao! Happy cooking!
Beautiful makeover. And I love the garden stool. I want one but they're so expensive!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carolyn! coming from you that is a real great compliment for me! I got the stool for $89 + free shipping, it went on clearance at one point at wisteria and I bought 2! :-)

Visiting from over at Better After. WOW! That's a lot of orange. So I asked myself "Who would actually decide to use that much wall color?!?!" And then I remembered it's not far off from my old neighbors who chose something nearly like this in their living/dining room!!!! Arggg! I SO love your "after" look bathroom. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Connie! I thought the same thing, I did not know the former owners so we don't know why the color choice - actually this wasn't the only room colored orange all throughout! My kids bathroom was the same way! I am in the process of painting it a more "male Friendly" color and will submit it to Lindsey soon. Thanks for stopping by! I love your church youth room makeover - you did really well with what you had! :-)
Delete*Sigh* how gorgeous! I am so inspired to do my bathrooms... Now, if only I could find some money! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you dear, you will, you don't need a lot of money, just a lot of elbow grease and time! Good luck! :-)
DeleteNow this is relaxing! I find orange a happy color but not this strong...you made a great choice....I could see a few shelves up the wall and that would give you a little more spread out room...I love the graphic on the wall...
