So by now, all of you know that I am in the middle of doing my daughter's nursery.
I have the plan in my head and everything is moving forward with the plan except for this...
See? It looks out into out living room and Breakfast area |
In the first place, most INDOOR or INTERIOR Windows are born out of room extensions and additions to a home. And so it is usually kept for decorative purposes. However, our Interior windows are NOT decorative, and I believe the previous owners of our house wanted them because they could look into what's going on in the living room.
I scoured the internet and saw how some people work their way around it.
Decorate around it |
Display what's inside |
Put bookshelves around it |
Just embrace it and make it a statement piece |
I could of course, treat it like an outdoor window and just put a curtain over it, but I'm just not sold into that idea yet. It may be my last resort.
I've got ideas running in my head and I think you would be surprised too once I show you what I'll do with it! Wish me a big "GOOD LUCK"!
Have a Great Week!
VEL
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...

ReplyDeleteHey Vel! I've never seen anything like that before. It's a neat feature but, I can see how it could be a decorating dilemma. Can't wait to see what you decide.
ReplyDeleteI always scratch my head when I see things like this. We actually had a glass door in our master bedroom. I told my husband that I wasn't selling tickets to a peep show so it needed to be fixed STAT!
ReplyDeletePerhaps shutters would work, also hanging a large piece of artwork over it...but there is the issue of the other side which I can't see the placement of..... hmmmm. Good luck!
I have honestly never, every seen that in a home! At first I was thinking that I didn't like that idea at all but after seeing your inspiration I'm thinking you can turn it into something unique and fabulous! Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all of the images of how people treated their indoor windows - so unique. Know yours will look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with this!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting! I'm scratching my head to come up with ideas on how to make it work... a mirror, art... but yeah, it depends on how it looks on the other side. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Can't wait!
