As the blog post title implies, I'm sure your know exactly what I mean.
Remember my Decor Stash Closet I shared with you before? It got a needed update...
Here's what worked...
Here's what worked...
Ta-da! |
My husband added the pegboards I needed for this closet and I love how functional it is!
Its' pretty decorative too don't you think? |
I also have one on this side..
Pretty pleasing |
Now I can see a lot of my wall arts available for easy switching!
Ok here's what didn't work for me recently. I bought this super nice and cushy rug...
Yup, this is so true |
I got it from ROSS and I was so excited to find this memory foam rug to use in our Master Closet, since I moved our old rug in the basement....
This one |
Well, I was too excited that I did not notice the size???! I thought it was 4' x 6'?!!!!
See??!!! |
Uggghhh! Totally my fault, I love this kind of rug, it's so great on the feet and that velvety feeling was just perfect! I tried finding one online in a bigger size, but I couldn't find any!!!
If you happen to chance upon a MEMORY FOAM RUG that is 5'X 7' PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
Well, there you have it. We've had winter storms lately and I've been busy keeping the kids busy and planning for my little boy's birthday party (which is 2 months delayed already, more on that later). I really hope winter lets up already!
Hope your warm wherever you are!
Have a Great Weekend!
VEL
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...
Hi Vel! I'm doing my best not to be jealous of that great closet you have. The peg board is a wonderful idea and all of your baskets look fabulous there. Sorry about your rug. I have a couple of the little memory foam rugs in the bathroom and they are really nice.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Don't you just wish you could know what was going to work and what wasn't without all the trial and error?? I so hope you find the rug of your dreams. Knowing you, you will put the "mistake" rug to wonderful use. Have a great day! xo Kristy
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a new rug now, too, Vel and it's so hard to find just the right size. Yours is a very pretty color, I hope that you are able to track it down soon!
ReplyDeleteYour peg board was a super idea, and the baskets look so cute hanging on it. (Cute & storage = winning!). Love your rug mistake; I understand why you wish had worked - it's beautiful! I know you will find "the one" eventually. Jane
ReplyDeleteBesides the great swoon closet, I love all your decorating ideas and the basket wall is gorgeous! You are one great decorator little lady, I love everything you do! I'm sure your blue and white collection is growing by the day. Thanks for the sweet compliment on us.
ReplyDeleteI'm busy, but having a ball with the little girls.
Hugs,
FABBY
Oh... I love those foam rugs and what a bummer on the size...it happens to the best of us.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
FABBY
I am so jealous of that closet! What a shame that rug didn't work!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've got the closet fixed up just perfect now! I didn't know they made memory rugs that large! I did a quick look on the internet and didn't come across anything that large. Maybe two rugs side by side? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteRugs are so hard to buy. It always seems like as soon as I find a style I like, they don't have the right size. I hope you find one you like. That memory foam sounds so comfy!
ReplyDeleteI like how you store your baskets, they look nice and you don't need extra storage space for them! Very clever idea! Such a bummer about the rug. Hopefully you find something you like soon! Happy weekend, Vel!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you would find a perfect place for that pretty rug! The pegboards are a great idea and yeah, pretty decor too! Have a great weekend Vel!
ReplyDeleteVel, How wonderful to have all this storage. Best of luck fining the perfect rug.

Vel! I sent your book like two weeks ago... This is not good. Will get another one to you this week!
ReplyDeletePretty rug Vel. Sorry it didn't work out. I've not tried one with memory foam but it sounds so comfy. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow! your closet is so chic now! Love the way the trays actually create a wall gallery.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of using the peg board and it keeps everything so organized! And the rug, that sounds exactly like something I would do…Happy Sunday, Vel!!
ReplyDeleteLove your organized closet and the pegboards are great! Like the others said, you will find something good to do with the rug. I love the look of your basement furniture!
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog and very interesting stuff you got here! I definitely learned a lot from reading through some of your earlier posts as well and decided to drop a comment on this one!
