Spring Home tour

Hello everyone!

I know you already saw the fabulous homes from Monday to just now,  Friday's equally fabulous group as well. If your hopping by from Anita's at "Far Above Rubies", thank you and I hope I don't disappoint after that eclectic and colorful home tour!

Let's get on shall we? But before I do, I need to thank our beloved host and ever-patient SPRING HOME TOUR coordinator-extraordinaire, Marty from "A Stroll thru Life" fame, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for including me and my home among these other inspiring homes!

Let's go first to our LIVING ROOM!

Blues and Purples are my Spring choice this year
I actually just did only a little update from my home's BLUE & WHITE WINTER HOME decor (you can check it out HERE) by adding a lot of flowers particularly in purple and of course adding the purple pillows & original art work too.

Add caption
My Coffee table/ ottoman is filled with Easter display already and of course, our latest Photo book of our trip to Paris last winter!

My steadily growing blue and white collection!
I kept the Matisse Print on the console since I think it's perfect

Scored my Faux orchids from ROSS at $12.99 each! Unbelievable steal right?!
I displayed the travel books we collected recently from our European vacation

Above the piano is a very special display...
... an original painting made by my 12 year old son! I absolutely love it!!!!
These four are my originals - had to make new art work to go with my color palette. This series is called - "CORNERS"
Here's another look - painting has become a favorite family past time recently
Ok, now let's head off to the DINING ROOM...

Still a lot of happy colors - this time in blues, greens and pinks!
My paper whites died are gone, but I kept the plant and added my moss bunny picks!

All set for Easter!

My DIY Cherry Blossoms I made years ago makes a comeback as well as my growing Chocolate
bunny collection!

And before we end this tour, let me show you my daughter's bedroom!

An explosion of pinks here for sure!

The other painting I need to brag about - my 2 1/2 year old did her own painting too!

Spring books abound!

In our Breakfast area, just some Easter Lily on our table

I hope you enjoyed the tour and thank you again for stopping by! Now, head on over to Chelsea's blog at "Making Home Base"!

Small Room Re-do - The Loo

Hello Friends! Spring is definitely here where I'm at , and with that comes the cleaning, re-organizing and yes, some room updates.

Today I wanted to share with you a super simple room re-do I did on our Master Loo!

Ta-da!
And no makeover, no matter how small, is complete without showing you the BEFORE...

Simple and boring, just as any Loo should be?! ;-)

the cream walls had to go
And so 1 Sunday afternoon, I painted...

... and added this easy to place wallpaper from WALLS NEED LOVE

Chose this Art-Deco pattern

And Viola! My Loo is boring no more!

Yes, we do have a bidet.

I changed out the artwork from the one I used to hang in my Master bedroom

I added this small orchid and my favorite candle of course.
I only had enough paper for these 2 walls so I left the opposite wall bare and hung this typography art (a gift from 1 of my friends on my last birthday).

Still thinking if I should add more paper on this wall.
Had some left-over paper to zhush up the switch plate too

Overall I'm happy with this mini-update! Quick, easy and pretty room in a matter of a few hours. Using this type of self-adhesive wallpaper does help. But now I have to wait how long this type of paper lasts. Will let you know!

Please don't forget the Spring Home tours this coming March 20!

My Top 10 Favorite Oscar Red Carpet Fashion

It't that time of the year again when I do my one and only Fashion post on the blog!

Yes, despite the huge gaffe that happend with the BEST PICTURE category during the Oscars, the Red Carpet didn't disappoint as always. The biggest fashion show in the world was flawless (well, almost). Here are my favorites....

1) Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive
Nicole has been always gorgeous in the Red Carpet and this stunning beaded gown was just perfect on her statuesque physique!

2) Emma Stone in Givenchy
I love how winner Emma Stone, channeled her movie all the way to this gorgeous flapper gown! She is party and dance ready!
3) Viola Davis in Armani Prive
I love how this red simple gown emphasized Viola's beautiful face. Simple and oh-so-elegant!
4) Isabelle Hupert in Armani Prive
A woman who knows how to dress elegantly and to her age, love this stunning beaded number!

5) Naomi Harris in Calvin Klein
My favorite Oscar Short dress of all time I think, and look at her Killer shoes?! Also by Calvin Klein btw, just love it!
6) Taraji Henson in Alberta Ferretti
Black velvet with a killer Diamond necklace? Perfection!

7) Octavia Spencer in Marchesa
I have a weakness for Gorgeous feathery ball gowns!

8) Brie Larson in Oscar Dela Renta
Brie is just smashing in this all black number, just wow!

9) Halle Berry in Versace

Love that she's not predictable, the hair and the smashing gown is just so Halle Berry!
10) Darby Stanchfield in Georges Chakra
This is WHITE DONE RIGHT. White can be boring sometimes on the red carpet but the details on the this gown is just ooh-la-la!

And as always I have some not so favorite...
Dakota Johnson in Gucci
I feel like she's trying to look sophisticated and old too much and just went on all the wrong directions. The 1980s shoulder padding is just not cutting it for me :-(
Scarlet Johansen in Alaia
She looks so much like PINK here, not that it's wrong, but this floral see-through number is just frou-frou without the ooohhhh!
Jessica Biel in Kaufman Franco
The only good thing about her red carpet look was the guy behind her. Sad to say, I feel like she was C3PO's twin sister!

Sorry for being a bit mean, I don't mean to. But there you have it, my two-cents worth of opinion regarding this event. Did I miss your fave?

Have  A Great Weekend!
