Summer Living Room Decor

Now that you've seen what our  Summer Outdoor Space looks like. Let me share some changes I made on the inside...

Summer Yellows are back
I rearranged the chairs and also moved the console from the middle window to the first one.
I plan to put a day bed on where the lonesome arm chair is at now.



I love to layer mirrors!




I added this new pillow from our recent Disney trip. Guess from what movie this line is from?



Yup, From "MARY POPPINS"!




And changed the piano decor...



I added and moved around my art...










And re-arranged our entertainment center decor!





Instead of going 'coastal', which is what I did last summer, I decided to use all my brass & gold accessories. I think they go well with all the yellows in the room don't you think?

    Lovely space Vel. Tons of good stuff in there but I particularly like your layering of mirrors / the table vignette you styled, the fact that you placed a vignette in front of the french doors to break up the long glass / door wall, and the wall art arrangement (love the wrapped canvas photo at the beach of folks jumping, assume that's the fam, so cute). This room has a great balance of structured yet informal and that to me is a great room to relax in. Robin

    Looks gorgeous, Vel! I think you are right on target going with the brass and gold -- looks fantastic with your other colors.

    When I see pictures of your gorgeous home, it makes me fell silly for even trying, I swear! I was wondering if you might be interested in doing a guest post for me sometime between July 19-31?       Thanks for agreeing! I would love if you would just pick your favorite space in your home and do a little tour! When I did the guest post for Remodelaholic, I just wrote a draft post on my blog and then copied and pasted the entire thing in notepad and emailed it to them. Would that work for you?

    I love the yellow pillows but my favorite is the Mary Poppins pillow! I have a t-shirt that I bought at the Broadway Mary Poppins show that I may have to recycle into a pillow!

    You have such a beautiful home Vel and you certainly made it summer ready with the yellow and gold. The Mary Poppins pillow is just perfect and such a great memento from your vacation.     Very pretty, Vel. I like how bright it is. Looking at your windows, if we painted ours white in the family room, that's how they will look like except for your glass above the doors, which look nice but we do not have....Christine

    The inside is just as beautiful as the outside! I love that rope lamp, it looks like it's not a new piece, but is my first time enjoying it! I also like the pictures you took at night time, a really good and different ambiance ;)
