Now that you've seen what our Summer Outdoor Space looks like. Let me share some changes I made on the inside...
Summer Yellows are back |
I rearranged the chairs and also moved the console from the middle window to the first one.
I plan to put a day bed on where the lonesome arm chair is at now.
I love to layer mirrors! |
I added this new pillow from our recent Disney trip. Guess from what movie this line is from?
Yup, From "MARY POPPINS"!
And changed the piano decor...
I added and moved around my art...
And re-arranged our entertainment center decor!
Instead of going 'coastal', which is what I did last summer, I decided to use all my brass & gold accessories. I think they go well with all the yellows in the room don't you think?
Here's what it looks like at night...
Here's what it looks like at night...
How about you, have you been 'summer-ing' up your home?
Have a wonderful week!
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...

Lovely space Vel. Tons of good stuff in there but I particularly like your layering of mirrors / the table vignette you styled, the fact that you placed a vignette in front of the french doors to break up the long glass / door wall, and the wall art arrangement (love the wrapped canvas photo at the beach of folks jumping, assume that's the fam, so cute). This room has a great balance of structured yet informal and that to me is a great room to relax in. Robin
ReplyDeleteI adore your house! What's not to love?! And those Mary Poppins pillows add such fun - and that rope lamp is fabulous!!

Looks gorgeous, Vel! I think you are right on target going with the brass and gold -- looks fantastic with your other colors.
ReplyDeleteHow's the kitchen project going?
Thanks Carol! It's coming along, will post something about it tomorrow. Now checking out the different flooring for it! Thanks for asking!
DeleteYour living room is gorgeous...and I LOVED that Mary Poppins pillow...And all that natural light is wonderful...great post thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks wonderful!! I love the idea of layering mirrors and that Mary Poppins pillow is CUTE!
ReplyDeleteWhen I see pictures of your gorgeous home, it makes me fell silly for even trying, I swear! I was wondering if you might be interested in doing a guest post for me sometime between July 19-31? If so, let me know and we can work out the details. I have never done it before, but I am going to be away for 2 weeks and thought I could arrange a few if possible.
ReplyDeleteYou flatter me Nicki, but your home is pretty darn cool too!!! Especially with all your great DIY projects! Would love to do a guest post, just let me know possible topics for it. Thanks for thinking of me. :-)
DeleteVel,
DeleteThanks for agreeing! I would love if you would just pick your favorite space in your home and do a little tour! When I did the guest post for Remodelaholic, I just wrote a draft post on my blog and then copied and pasted the entire thing in notepad and emailed it to them. Would that work for you?
Oh yes! Just tell me the date and I'll send it to you as soon as I can. Thanks for thinking of me Nicki!

Your home is gorgeous and I adore the pops of yellow, so bright and cheery. Stunning. Thanks tons for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow pillows but my favorite is the Mary Poppins pillow! I have a t-shirt that I bought at the Broadway Mary Poppins show that I may have to recycle into a pillow!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a gorgeous space! Your home is absolutely stunning! I popped over from The DIY Dreamer...thanks for sharing!

You have such a beautiful home Vel and you certainly made it summer ready with the yellow and gold. The Mary Poppins pillow is just perfect and such a great memento from your vacation. I love sculptures, the deer are just wonderful. Thanks for showing us your home - the evening pictures are very soothing - you got the lighting just right!

ReplyDeleteSo pretty and fresh!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Vel. I like how bright it is. Looking at your windows, if we painted ours white in the family room, that's how they will look like except for your glass above the doors, which look nice but we do not have....Christine
ReplyDeleteThe inside is just as beautiful as the outside! I love that rope lamp, it looks like it's not a new piece, but is my first time enjoying it! I also like the pictures you took at night time, a really good and different ambiance ;)
ReplyDeleteSeriously LOVE IT!! Can I move in???
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this at The DIY Dreamer... From Dream To Reality!
