Sophia's 1st Flamingle Birthday Party Part 2 - Ice Cream, Drinks, Gift station and Games

Today I wanted to share with you some more details of Sophia's 1st Flamingle Birthday Party.

Last time, I shared with you the Sweets and over-decorations of the party HERE, and now I wanted to share with you some more sweets during the party (You can't have too much sweets at a kids birthday party right?!)!

I turned our Grill area into an Ice cream station

Banners from Pixel Perfection Party

Cupcake holders and toppers also from Pixel Perfection Party

Only good picture of the freezer

I bought a second hand small freezer from CL and added gold duct tape up top.
I wrote down the ice cream menu on our chalkboard and added fruits, sprinkles and mallows galore!
Everyone seemed to enjoy this station a lot!

Next up is the DRINKS STATION...

Flamingos everywhere

Aside from the Pink Lemonade and water, we also had Strawberry and Chocolate Yoohoo, pink lemonade soda and Fruit punch soda - all pink!

I placed the gift table near the entrance of the yard...

We also had some fun games!

It was truly a fun-filled day for everyone but most especially our little celebrant!

Have a Great Week!

Sophia's 1st Birthday Flamingle Party- decorations and Sweets table

I'm taking a break from all the Halloween stuff for awhile with this post.

I am now ready to share with you some of the deets on the Flamingle Birthday Party we had a couple of weeks ago for our darling Sophia!

We started preparing for the actual party 4 days prior to the day.
With our new extended yard and fence, the area outside was the perfect spot for the celebration.

We considered all the possible scenarios, weather-wise and so we decided to set-up a tent (which was fantastic since it ended up raining that morning so we had to move everything inside this tent and luckily it all fit in it!)

Hung gold glittered garlands all around and place these Flamingo decor on the posts

Renting out a tent was our first option but with only a hundred dollar difference to buying one, we figured to just buy since I'm sure we'll be able to use this tent again for years to come! ;-)

I also had a local photographer (Kassi Needling Photography), take the photos during the party, that way I could concentrate on the celebrant, guests and the fun of it all.I have lots of pictures, but I chose to share the ones that I think may be interesting to you guys and for anyone planning for a party.

Ok, so let's start with the decorations!

Pink and teal and some white
I hung 30 inch balloons upside down and added old paper lanterns (used from Sophia's Baptism) from the tent ceiling. My husband just added lights just in case we end up being outside until evening (party started at 3 pm).

We were able to fit 8 tables for guests including the cake table and buffet tables.
Hanging balloons upside down makes sense to me since filling up these huge balloons with Helium would cost way too much, we have an air compressor of our own so filling them up was easy and FREE!

I had more balloons in the pool too!
My centerpiece had this sign from Pixel Perfection Party
along with pink buckets & Flamingo table decor from the Dollar Store

I also placed plastic flamingo yard sticks everywhere and also had a couple of Helium-filled balloons as well.
Have to share this photo since the table centerpieces were supposed to have Helium-filled balloons on them but they arrived late for photos. :-(

I brought out my Spring Wreath which I shared with HERE, and changed out the rabbit to flamingos!

Now I want to share with you the Cake/Sweets Table!

Pink Palooza here

Birthday Banner is from Pixel Perfection Party as well.
I blew up Sophia's pictures at Sam's (the best price for prints) and framed them in IKEA frames.

Sweets ranged from M &Ms, cherry gum drops, Pink Candy Corn, Snowballs, Pink Wafers, Pink animal crackers, Hershey bars and Strawberry Macarrons - and oh, Pink Flamingo pops!

Simple Ombre Teal cake from a local cake maker. I added all the things up top-
the cute sign is from Merc & Jones via Etsy
The cake was delish - Chocolate Raspberry!

I wrote these signs for the guests to grab the goodies away!

Goodies were stored in the Flamingo bags I made. You still remember the Flamingo bags I shared with you during my Flamingle Party prep HERE? Hope so.

I had the Buffet Table set- up  across the sweets table

I was able to use the DIY Cherry Blossoms I shared with you last Spring

I still have lots to share, but I don't want to "burn" your eyes  with all this pink and all this information. I'll share with you the Ice Cream Station, Drink station, games & Gift table!

Thank you for taking a peek at Sophia's 1st birthday and the overindulgence of an over-excited mom!!!!

Have  a Great Week!

Flamingle Party Prep

Ok, like I mentioned the last time, I wanted to share with you some details of the preparation I'm doing for Sophia's first birthday!

The theme as you know, is FLAMINGO!

Since it is her First birthday, mommy gets to decide since she can't tell me yet what she wants her theme to be! ;-)

Let's start with her invite...

It's from PIXEL PERFECTION PARTY via ETSY
And since I was so pleased on how her invitation turned out, I ordered the rest of the party stuff from the same store as well!

Like this Birthday Poster
I love how I can print as many as I want with all the stuff that you get to order online.
Digital designers at the tip of my finger! LOL! ;-)

Cupcake toppers

Water Bottle Cover

Welcome Sign Banner

I plan to have an Ice cream bar and also a candy/dessert buffet where kids (and adults) can fill the goodie bags I made for them!

Here's a sneak peek
I got the idea, instructions and templates from OH HAPPY DAY.COM (HERE)
Thank you Caitlin and Stephanie for such a fab idea and for sharing it with us!

So, what do you think?
I know, I know, I go overboard, but can you blame mommy?

Hope to share with you the actual party soon!
Wish us luck and praying for NO RAIN that day!

Have a Great Weekend !

P.S. It's a bit ironic that we'll be celebrating on this Saturday here in the U.S. while in the Philippines, my grandmother, who passed away on Monday, will be buried. I have mixed feeling right now but I know my Lola Mila (Grandmother) will understand our joy in her great grand daughters milestone celebration. I pray for Lola everyday and thanks to "e-burol" I am able to attend her wake everyday until her actual funeral day. I will remember and love you always lola, you've given us so much and asked nothing in return. I know you are happy now with Lola in heaven. I know you will watch over all of us everyday.
