Since we are all still 'recovering' from a very busy weekend after Sophia's birthday party, this post, will be short and sweet.
Now that my son is off to Highschool ( I feel like it's college since he will live in the school dormitory ), I wanted to look back and remember how our "little" boy's room has evolved thru out his time in our home...

Makes me teary-eyed just looking at all the changes.
And yet, here we are with more changes - in his life for that matter!
Hoping and praying that this decision we all made together would turn out to be the best for him in the end.
I MISS HIM TERRIBLY ALREADY!Why do kids have to grow up so soon?!!!
Have a Great Week!
VEL
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...
PS: THANK YOU ALL very much for your words of sympathy and comfort with regards to my grandmother's passing. Words are very powerful and what you conveyed was truly helpful and comforting to me and to the rest of my family.

HI Vel,
ReplyDeleteWishing you luck with your son away at hig school. Your sons room has gone through some changes over the years.

I am so sorry about your grandma, Vel. Just read about it now. Rest assured, I know she is in good hands. I know how you feel about your son's room. Always sad whenever they reach a milestone, though exciting at the same time. Can't wait to see Sophia's bday pics...Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Vel. Oh yes...that room, when they are gone. Hard to walk past for sure. But he has a wonderful place to come back to and he is getting a great education that will prepare to be the adult you hope for! I missed the Post about your dear grandmother - so sorry to learn of her passing. I'm sure she was very loved. Hugs to you. Jane
ReplyDeleteHi Vel and I'm so so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I've been away and have missed so much. You and your family will be in my prayers. Your son's room looks wonderful! I'm sure he's having a blast away at school but misses his family! I agree, children do grow up so fast! He'll love his new room when he comes for visits. Take care my sweet little friend.
ReplyDeleteShelia ;)
It goes way, way too fast, Vel. I am dreading college and it is coming at us fast. I keep hoping she'll say that she wants to stay local...but she wants to fly the coop and live on her own a bit, and she should. I won't like though! ;)
ReplyDeleteEach and every version of the room was just perfect! I would be teary eyes, too. I'm such a softie!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you, Vel!

They do grow up so fast, but when they reach adult hood you can look at them and say.. How proud I am! Lovely and real room!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like this has been a nice room for your son. Painting that end wall in the deep blue and adding that stripe helped break the size up and looks great. I hope he does well, but somehow I'm imaging your son is gifted and already fairly independent. It's hard to let them go yet seeing them accomplish what we wanted for them is such a reward. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Vel, having them leave home is such a hard adjustment. They do grow way too fast. His room has gone through some fabulous changes. Such a nice space.
ReplyDeleteYou are tugging at my heart strings today my friend! This is such a great room through all it's renditions. I wish your son a very happy and wonderful experience at his new high school!
ReplyDeleteI love all the different looks for his room! Such a nice big space to have fun with!
ReplyDeleteI think it would have broken my heart if our son had made a choice like that, but we do all have our own strengths. He certainly does have a nice room to come home to when he gets breaks. You did an awesome job on the latest redo!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love how this turned out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!
They do grow so fast! I was feeling the same way when my daughter got out of high school. I'm so glad she decided for a local collage. :)You did a wonderful job transforming his room, different and lovely each time!
ReplyDeleteHi Vel. As a veteran Mama of three sons growing up, I HEAR you. Now my youngest, and my only daughter is nearly 16, and I can't believe she'll be learning to drive next year! Get off the road everyone...lol! You've done well Mom. He'll be fine. And so will you. Thanks for sharing this sweet post with me at Five Star Frugal. Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteVel, I am so sorry to hear about your grandma's passing, hugs to you. It's an exciting time for your son, I am sure he misses everyone back home too.
ReplyDeleteIt must be hard to see your boy grow... I bet you still think of him as a baby... But you'll be proud of him!
ReplyDeleteHe has such a cool room thanks to his cool mom :) He will be home for the holidays before you know it. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI know how it feels to miss a child, mine is away at college. I hope things are going well for him!
