Flower Power

I recently got this gorgeous bouquet from my staff last week...

However, with anything this beautiful and fresh, it really will not last.
So after a week, some of the flowers and leaves were starting to wilt.
And like always, I try to salvage what I can, and here is the bouquet now....

Yellow flowers in my entry

Aren't they still pretty?

Other flowers & leaves on our breakfast table

I used these 2 brass pitchers I recently scored at an antique store (more on that shopping trip later).
And after 1 more week, this set of flowers will further dwindle down, but don't worry I will still save what can be saved and place them in smaller containers!
Bouquets always provide weeks of beauty if you salvage what you can.
Flowers may look delicate, but with proper care they can last you a long time!

Do you have any tips on how to make your fresh flowers or bouquet last?
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...

  1. Oh what a lovely bouquet and you've done a magnificent job of dividing it and salvaging what you can. Both look so pretty. Thanks for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty

  3. Love this - I am glad that I am not the only one who tries to get the most out of flowers. My post this week started with leftover flowers, too! How wonderful your staff must be to give you flowers and how wonderful you must be that they wanted to give them to you - lol!!

  4. So pretty! I just keep the water fresh, no leaves beneath the water line and take out those that are wilting...

  5. Beautiful flowers. I like to change the water daily to keep my flowers fresh. Some just seem to last longer than others.
