I know, I know, I haven't even decided on my my OTHER PROBLEMATIC WALL
and I'm here to show you another wall again.
Thank you by the way for your fabulous thoughts and suggestions, they are truly helpful and are much appreciated and weighed upon by yours truly.
But, like a lot of you, I cannot decide just yet.
I just haven't found the right fit and choice yet, because I know you all know that feeling right? When you know it's right, YOU JUST KNOW!
Anyhow, I will for sure keep you posted, but for now, let me share with you another huge wall of mine...
Most people use this wall as a command center like these...

And I love the idea!
HOWEVER, the big problem is ME - I'm not ready to drill holes on my beautiful wall just yet!
Ok, I'm over-reacting with this example ;-) |
My kitchen is only 7 months old and I'm just not ready.
After all, I did show you my Command Center when I took you inside the drawers.
Then one day, as I was buying trash bags at "Bed Bath & beyond", I got this from the clearance section...
I love that it looks a bit more elegant and frilly and the size is perfect too.
But the best part of all, it will incur NO DAMAGE to my beautiful wall until I do decide to place something more permanent there.

How about you, do you have similar fears like mine when tackling your wall?
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
VEL
Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...

I love this idea, I hate to make too many holes in my walls too so I think this is genius. I love your fridge too, it is my dream. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect thing you found for your wall! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI don't, necessarily, have fear about tackling walls, but I do have that thing called procrastination.
These days we get so anxious about putting holes in our two story wall (cause of how hard it would be to patch / repaint and / or expensive to hire out) that I'm not sure even Xanax could get us to swing a hammer!!! And I'm hoping to hang a plate wall display on that wall, so you can bet I'm trying to hack a secure hold but no hole in the wall solution. BTW, lovely wall decal and great bargain hunting Vel.
ReplyDeleteSince we recently painted, I too have a fear of putting too many holes in my walls. :) I think your solution for now is perfect! I love the cute reminder wall!
ReplyDeleteI love that! Super cute. You could always use command strips to hang things on that wall instead of putting holes in it.
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect! I wouldn't want to drill into your pretty woodwork either!!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Friday! xoxo
Perfect solution! I'm like you and not too keen on doing anything unless I know, that I know, I will be happy with it and leaving it for a LONG time! I do love wall platter/plate wall racks, you've got the perfect spot for one! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/5066618305382755/

Perfect ! It's fabulous, especially if you change your mind down the road. I come from a long line of "mailers" so no nail hole fear for me! I have a friend who lived in her home for ten years, just leaning things against the wall, setting them on the floor....never hung a single thing, for fear of making a hole. I say, just do it! :) Jane
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for not damaging the wall! I'm with you, protect the wall as long as possible!
ReplyDeleteLove it! No, I figure I can always spackle over the holes I make and touch up the paint. My husband wishes it bothered me a bit more, I think. :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really pretty there Vel, as well as being fun and functional! I'm with you on not wanting to put a nail in that brand new cabinetry - I wouldn't be able to do it either! Great solution!
ReplyDeleteI certainly can understand you not wanting to mess with your new wall. You found the perfect solution! Looks great!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't believe you found so many examples of walls like yours - that's cool!
ReplyDeleteI love your wall decal! Perfect solution. yes, I also get scared of making holes in my walls. Yikes! :)
ReplyDeleteNow that is just perfect! I am with you on not putting holes in your wall just yet and that decal is great. I do love your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great solution! I love it! It doesn't damage anything and it truly is useful, since kids (and this aging momma) sometimes need a large, last minute reminder on the way out the door! Now I wish I had a problem wall!! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe have an identical wall in our kitchen, and I too have been pondering what to do... I absolutely LOVE your decal! I wonder if they are still available?
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
The Glam Pad
Although I love all the examples you showed I wouldn't be so quick to put holes into the kitchen panel of the cabinetry. If it was a drywall wall then no problem - you can easily fill the holes and paint the wall, but not so easy to do on the cabinetry panel. I love your solution.

What a great idea! I'm very afraid to do any holes in my kitchen where the walls are brand new!
ReplyDeletenew to your blog ... any who ... great idea with using the BBB purchase!!!! .. and PS ur kitchen is BEYOND!!!
ReplyDeletePS _ have a giveaway going on; check it and spread the love karma
I love this idea. Now all I need is an empty wall. :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks great Vel! I would hesitate about putting holes in my new cabinetry too - you found a perfect solution!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Vel! I hate putting holes in my walls too! I hear Command strip products are great and you can use them for a variety of weights. Of course, you don't have to make any holes at all. Will have to try them as I want to do a gallery wall soon.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to come across the perfect solution!! :)
ReplyDeleteLots of great ideas there but I love your board the most - its simple and elegant and not too busy. Im sure its keeping you all very organised too :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I have the same blank wall on the right of my fridge, but I don't have that much space, perhaps only two inches, that's why I also simply added a wall decal calendar, which I hardly use :) I love yours, the frame is pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect addition! I've been thinking of doing something on the side of my kitchen cabinets - but like you, I'm just not ready!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having fun in the sun!
