Spring Easter Table 2016

I know that it's quite early for Easter, but I enjoyed toying around with the table setting for this important holiday the other day, and thought that I might share them already!

The bunnies are out!

Peonies and bunnies? Yes in our household ;-)

Craft-free and DIY-free Easter this year, just pure decorating! I also don't have any new piece except for the 1 chocolate bunny in between the 2 moss ones. That's were my bunny collecting is headed, and I think, that is SWEET!

How about you, ready for Spring or Easter yet?

Have a Lovely Day!

Thanksgiving Table

Hello Friends!

How was your weekend?
Ours was BUSY! Went to the city to visit our son and roamed around the zoo the whole day, followed by a day of shopping for some essentials the next day, then attended our groups' sponsored Quiz bee before heading back home!

But before we left, I had a fun time trying out my decor for this coming Thanksgiving!

Simple Thanksgiving Centerpiece
I was inspired when I saw these gorgeous decorative Kale at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and knew then that I will be using them for Thanksgiving.

Follow me on IG HERE

I added the white pumpkins from the Living room Halloween Decor (which is all gone by now btw),
and added some of my Brass candlesticks and the 2 brass partridges I scored at the Antique Mall a month ago.

I really lobe the mix of purples and greens

I used my Jonathan Adler Plates as chargers and used my vintage Fire King set for my setting with my vintage gold flatware
The chalkboard place mat and Place cards are from Target I scored a couples of months back.
The napkins are vintage VERA NEUMANN.

You may notice the change on the back of this picture too
Since Christmas is around the corner, I moved my sofa table from the living room and Federal Mirror from the Breakfast area into this room.

I love ho the mirror reflects the Dining room well
I just placed my glass canisters with left over candies and goodies from Halloween and just added more of the white pumpkins that used to be in the Living room.

The buffet decor
The Buffet Cabinet just had the same elements as the Dining table - kale and brass!

I just love the fresh vibe and colors these beauties bring to my home
Did you notice my new lamps?

It's the Franklin Lamp Base from TARGET

I love the aged brass and warm walnut look of this large lamp and thought it would be perfect for this cold season.

My table runner was from Target as well, the coasters were from Dwell Studio
Decorating for Thanksgiving did not stop there.
I also did some purging and cleaning here...

Nice and orderly, ready for the party season!

My RH French Casement Double cabinet is now all neat
I really LOVE this cabinet but still need to put in some cabinet lighting on this baby.
Someday...:-)

All we need now is the turkey!

There you have it folks, our early Thanksgiving Dinner Table.
How about you, how are you preparing for this special holiday?

Have a Great Week !

Eating with Spiders Part 1 - Our Halloween Dining Room

Hello Friends!

I finally got out of my decorating rut and as always, went crazee decorating!

Well, for one thing it's my 2nd favorite Holiday to decorate for, and another, my son Aidan has been begging me for weeks on when I'd be decorating (yup, it's in the genes;-))?! Also, since little Sophia is walking' and ruling the entire house, this is the only safe place I could put a lot of stuff on!

Anyway, I still used all my old stuff, only thing I bought for this year was some pumpkins, which you won't see in this room by the way (you'll see it later on in the living room).

Ok, nuf talk, on with the show...

Now you understand the title of my post

My centerpiece is both eery and glam - kept my brass candlesticks in here, just changed out my candles, and transferred my antiques on the table (sorry Saints, I hope you don't mine me using you for Halloween!;-))

The Goblets were a find from post-Halloween last year at my local Krogers

Used my Black stainless Target  flatware and

You know I normally don't put any setting on my Dining table when I show my holiday decor but I just couldn't help it with this one!

My cat-on-the-prowl window - I placed my spider table runner up top

Also dressed up my chairs with a table runner for my chairs and table cloth on my bench
My Creepy "treat" Bar
I just mixed a mishmash of Halloween stuff  and placed a bunch of spiders in one of my apothecary jar

I did a super quick update on my lamps and  went simply-skeleton with my mirrored shelves

Spider up and all around!
So I think we're all set...

...to eat with spiders and some other ghoulish creatures on Halloween!
How about you, Halloween loco, go-go or oh-no?

Whatever you are, it's all in the good ol' spirit of American fun!

This is only part 1, aren't you curious to see part 2? I'll share soon!

Have a Great week !

Final Touches in the Master Bedroom /Nursery

Thank you all for your positive comments on our Master bedroom/Nursery and all your well wishes for me and baby as well! They are truly appreciated!!!!

This week is the week for my baby's arrival,  and so before I go on a little bit of  'maternity break',  I just wanted to share with you the final touches of this room and the basement guest room in the next couple of days.

Personalized crib

I added this beautiful name decal from JUSTFORYOU DECALS on ETSY...

I know usually these decals go on the nursery wall, but since we don't have the real nursery ready yet, I put her name here! I think it's really pretty. :-) I also added the gold glitter bunting decal I got from TARGET ($12.99 for 1 set) to add to the design.

Lovely Name Decal up close
I just did the bunting on the other side of the crib
I also added the bunting on our changing table so that the furnitures will match!

We also finished out Master Bedroom gallery wall...

Wall of Love :-) for me and hubs

I got the LOVE print from ETSY as well from MISS POPPY DESIGN.

And with all of these, this room is D-O-N-E!
If you missed the reveal of this room please CLICK HERE.

Next time I'll show you the DONE Basement Guest room which my mom is currently enjoying by the way! So glad she's here, I'm so swollen all over I can hardly do anything at this point! THANK GOD for moms and all they do for us 'kids'!!!

Have a Great Week Everyone!
