Taking back our Office and Library!

I am ashamed, but I have to be truthful.
This is a room in our house...

Yup Grapevine on the floor & swords on the desk  y'all!

Papers and books everywhere

Gauzy curtains perfect for the space!

Dad's Fix-It-Shop???

Yes, there is a wig on the coat rack & milk glass on the bins

The shredder is begging to be fed with all this junk!
I wanted to share this with you because of the ffg. reasons:

1) My life and home is no where near perfect.
2) Life happens and mess like this keeps getting pushed aside, pushed aside, pushed aside...
3) I know I/We can fix this, and that there are worse atrocities out there that are neither published nor shared (only I am crazy to do that! ;-)).

So, in between Christmas decorating and Thanksgiving preparation, I am taking back this space!
Wish me luck and lot of PATIENCE!

Don't forget!

Have a Great Weekend!

VEL

Would love to hear your thoughts! Please share away...

  4. Blogging definitely has a way of making life look perfect! Love this post, because I've been there. In fact, I am lying in bed right now, thinking of all the cleaning I need to get done tomorrow, lol. Jane

  5. Oh, I hear you, Vel! Our office is much smaller but we had so much crammed in there I used five of those 33 gallon bags to clean out stuff from when my daughters were in high school ten years ago!! Once it's cleaned out and organized, its easier to keep on top of things. In fact you are so scared of having to do the same thing over again you definitely keep it neat!!!

Thanks for being candid. I have closets begging me for help!! :)

  6. It's good to see someone admit to reality! We all have it (well most of us). The fun is taking it back- even if it's temporary! My office is a disaster right now- I am goaling towards cleaning it up. I see a Mayo clinic certificate on the wall! We spent a great deal of time at Mayo in Rochester, MN in the 90's. What a wonderful place.

  7. The corner of our master is starting to look like that. So much Christmas stuff and just stuff in general.

  8. Real life is messy, but it's real! I occasionally turn the camera in that direction too, because I think people need to understand that nobody's home is perfect all the time. Kudos! Stuff gets cleaned up and messed up again. Especially with kids! Ps- fun wig! ;)
