OUCH Cabinet

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to go back into the nitty gritty of everyday life.
And along with that, ORGANIZATION, has always been big with me come new year!

So today I'm sharing with you our OUCH cabinet

Yup, our Medicine Cabinet

This hangs in our Laundry room by the kitchen.
I got the cabinet from IKEA a couple of years ago.

OUCH Cabinet Organization

Ours is pretty jam-packed. Being both physicians, we sort of get a bit paranoid about things that can happen, so we have other medical things and meds in our cabinet that you might not find in a typical Medicine cabinet for the home…

What's inside
Bug sprays, sun blocks, sinus rinse, Probiotics

Typical meds mixed with the not so typical
Lots of different wound care products on this shelf

Beside the cabinet, I have a small basket that holds Epi-pen, Ice bag and other first aid stuff.

My family knows where everything is already and hopefully we don't get to use this too often.
I have another one in our pool house too.

How about you, do you have an OUCH Cabinet too?

Hope you'll have an OUCH-Free Weekend!

  2. We do have an ouch cabinet, but it's not nearly as organized as yours. :) You just reminded me that I need to pick up more bandaids at the store tomorrow...thanks! I love the towel hooks below the first aid kit in your pool house!! So cute!

  4. I love your ouch cabinet! I've got all of our first aid stuff in a Rubbermaid bin but it's overflowing so some organization is definitely needed. Thanks for the idea!

  5. Love your cabinet. I have one of those 3 drawer stacking units under the bathroom sink and I use the big bottom drawer for all of our "ouch" and "sick" stuff. I think every home needs one of those. Hugs, Marty

  6. I like the idea of calling it an ouch cabinet. A friend of mine has an "ouch bear" which is a teddy bear that she gives to her children, who are both very young, when they hurt themselves: it stops the crying instantly!

  7. I do, but it is not organized. I even have make up mixed in it, lol. You are so organized, Vel, so nice to see that, it's inspiring...Christine

  8. This is similar to my own "at home pharmacy", except most of my stuff is herbal.

  9. Ours is on a wall in our garage next to our door that we use daily to exit and enter the house.

  10. Oy Vel, I just read your christmas decor organization post and then this one and I am feeling really inadequate in the organization department. Very interesting for me to see what a MD keeps in her medicine cabinet. I usually have a ton of band-aids and advil around but have found that the cold medicines are always expired by the time I might need them again (I guess that's a good thing). -Caitlin
